>> WAP Over GPRS Settings
1. Go to Menu >> Settings >> Configurations Settings >> Personal Configuration Settings >> Edit active service settings
Enter details for the following parameters:
# Account name: Mobilequ

2. Enter http://wap.yahoo.com for accessing WAP homepage

>From the Main Menu, select Settings Go to Connectivity, select GPRS,select GPRS modem settings, select Active access point. then select Access point which available. Click Edit active access point, select Multimedia message. Select Connection settings. Then key in the following : Alias for access point - Mobilequ
GPRS APN : Type indosatmobilequ Click OK. Laptop Setting
3.1 Configuring the modem - used communications software for Nokia (If no software is provided, please used standard modem
3.1.1 Start > Setting > Control Panel > Modems > Add > Select Nokia Modem (for standard modem, use speed 115200 bps and above).
3.2 Configuring Dial-up Networking
3.2.1 My Computer > Dial-up Networking > Make New Connection
3.2.2 In the Make New Connection - Type in Computer Name as Mobilequ and click Next
- Select Device Choose Nokia Modem (i.e 6220) and click Next.
- Type in *99***1# in the Telephone Number.
Leave the Area Code blank, and Choose the Country or Region code as Indonesia (62).
Click Next and then finish.
3.2.3 Dial-up Networking Window, right click Mobilequ, select properties :
- Do not tick the Use area code and Dialing Properties
- Choose Configure In the General tab :
i) Select Virtual Infrared COM Port (if you are using Infra Red) or
ii) Select Communications Port (COM1) if you are using Serial Data Cable.
3.2.4 Double click Mobilequ icon, and a Connect To Window will appear.
Insert the Username and Password and make sure the phone number is *99***1#.
Click Properties > Security > Advanced ( Custom Setting ) > Settings > Allow these protocols > choose Unencrypted password (PAP) only, unmark other option.
> Ok > Yes.
Select Connect button
3.2.5 Once the connection is established, the dialing icon will appear on the toolbar.
3.2.6 Launch the Internet Browser.
